What is AccuWeb?
AccuWeb is essentially a multi-purpose Content Management System (CMS) ie Website 'Back End'. A CMS allows a website to control the content on the website without having to go back repeatedly to the website designer. AccuWeb could be used for sites as diverse as Town Councils, Business Listings, Travel Portals and Estate Agents. AccuWeb however does have some features that are unique to the Tourism/Hotel trade.
AccuWeb Features
- Administrators can access and edit the content online using a password protected logon.
- Brochures and documents can be uploaded to the site.
- Viewers can sign up online (to be part of the 'Loyal Customer' scheme for example).
- Customers can sign a guestbook online (comments do not go live until approved by the hotel).
- Customers can post a message/ask a question online.
- Websites are enabled for display on Mobile Phones.
- Website contains a Customer Database that can be split by category ie Golf Guests, Spa Guests etc.
- A system to send SMS Messages to customers
- Electronic Newsletters (‘E Zines’) can be created and distributed to customers using the Bulk E Mail tool.
- The website can hold listings of local Suppliers ie Wedding Suppliers.
- Local Attractions and Activities can be displayed on the site.
- Updated Events and Entertainment from the region are displayed on the website.
- Wedding guests can have their own logon and page on the site where they can log on, see the schedule for the day and book rooms at a specifc rate.
- Updated Events and Entertainment from the hotel itself can be entered and prominently displayed on the website.
- A Microsft Earth Map allows customers to locate the hotel, plot a route from their own door, print it out and bring it with them.
- Multiple Photo Albums can be created and images uploaded.
- Key images in specific locations on the site can be changed to keep the site looking fresh.
- A Staff Rota can be created and distributed via SMS to employees. Hotel Job Vacancies and Application Forms can be advertised on the site.
