AccuBook Launches PocketBook for the Accommodation Industry

AccuBook from Donegal Town launched an innovative suite of products in January under the brand name Pocketbook. Independent Hotels, Guesthouses, B&BS and Self Catering properties will be able to download from the www.accubook.net website a combined Booking Engine, Website and Channel Manager. This comes with a unique 'Mobile Powered' Management System.

Property Owners or Managers will be able to use their smart phone to check which customers are arriving, price and availability of their rooms, their quality rating and even update their website whilst on the move.

The system is connected via the Channel Manager to large industry room retailers such as Booking.com and Hotels.com. For the first time this offers small to medium sized Owner/Managers who cant necessarily afford full time staff tied to a computer, the opportunity to compete with the larger hotels on a level playing field.... and whilst on the move.

'The concept for this product was created together with our distribution partners in Asia, where whole generations have leap-frogged Laptops and PC's (possibly due to the unreliability of broadband connections) and embraced whole-heartedly mobile phone solutions, but even in Europe we have seen users switching to mobile phones to manage their property'. The positive interest shown in the product has resulted in AccuBook looking at markets further afield, including South America, where products will be released in June.
